Club Notes – 25th April 2022

We are delighted to announce that Charlie’s Bar, Tempo is the new sponsor of our Senior Men’s team. The new jerseys will be worn on Saturday’s opening league match against Aghadrumsee. We thank Charlie for his support and look forward to a strong partnership between Charlie’s and the club.

As stated, our senior men open their account in Division 2B of the Club Players’ League away to Aghadrumsee on Saturday evening at 6.30pm. A huge thank you to former player Stephen Owens who is kindly sponsoring the match ball. If you or your business would like to get involved in sponsoring a match ball, contact Rory McCaffrey on 07523007752.

Our Senior Ladies had a winning start to their 9 A SIDE campaign on Sunday, defeating Knockninny away on a scoreline of 3-10 to 1-8. On Sunday, they host Lisnaskea in the 9 A SIDE league at 10am.

Tonight our U15s host Belleek at 6.45pm and on Sunday our Reserve Men travel to Lisnaskea for their match at 12pm. Good luck to both teams.

On Friday we held our Easter Camp and what a great afternoon it turned out to be. We had just short of 100 kids and over 22 volunteers helping out to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. As always, many thanks to Teresa McNabb for organising and all the great work she does with our youngsters.

As you will be aware, we have launched our new fundraising scheme Cairde Tempo to deliver the next phase of enhancements to the club’s facilities. We are asking current/former club members, players, supporters and anyone wishing to make a lasting contribution to the facilities at the club to contribute £20 per month.

We have ambitious plans for our grounds, and we hope with the help of our members that we can make this a reality. If you would like more information on Cairde Tempo, contact Phil Flanagan on 07985955555 or Michael Corry on 07779600119.

There was no jackpot winner this week in the club lotto, with the winning numbers being 11, 14, 18 and 26. The £25 consolation prize winners were Maggie Breen (online) and Laura & Eva McManus, Inishmore. The jackpot is now £5,800 and the next draw will be held on Saturday 30th April.
