Club Notes – 2nd May 2022

Our senior men got off to a winning start in the Club Players League on Saturday evening, defeating Aghadrumsee 2-10 to 1-12. The lads were trailing by 2 points heading into injury time, when Eunan McCann pushed up from wing half back and slotted the ball into the net right at the death. Next up is Irvinestown at home on Friday 20th May.

Our reserves got their first win of the season away at Lisnaskea, on a scoreline of 3-8 to 0-6. Best on the day were Liam Donoghue, Fergie Fee and Stephen Cassidy.

Commiserations to our ladies who lost out in their Club Players League against Lisnaskea on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-7.

Best of luck to our U16 girls who are in the Division 3 League Final on Friday evening against Newtownbutler. The game will be played in Maguiresbridge and the time will be confirmed on our Facebook page during the week. All support is welcome, good luck girls!

As you will be aware, we have launched our new fundraising scheme Cairde Tempo to deliver the next phase of enhancements to the club’s facilities. We are asking current/former club members, players, supporters and anyone wishing to make a lasting contribution to the facilities at the club to contribute £20 per month. There is a video on our social media platforms that illustrates the work that we have planned, be sure to check it out.

We have ambitious plans for our grounds, and we hope with the help of our members that we can make this a reality. If you would like more information on Cairde Tempo, contact Phil Flanagan on 07985955555 or Michael Corry on 07779600119.

There was no jackpot winner this week in the club lotto, the winning numbers were 6, 13, 17 and 27. The £25 consolation prize winners were Maura McAnespy and Tony Murphy. The jackpot is now £5,900 and the next draw will be held on Saturday 7th May.
