CAIRDE TEMPO SCHEME – As you may be aware, Tempo Maguires GAC have launched our new fundraising scheme to deliver the next phase of enhancements to the club’s facilities. We are asking current/former club members, players, supporters and anyone wishing to make a lasting contribution to the facilities at the club to contribute £20 per month.
This will be used to help the club deliver an ambitious programme of works including floodlighting and ancillary lighting, kitting out the new gym to meet the needs of the club and the wider community. Further improvements to access and parking arrangements, as well as a number of health and safety measures are also planned.
Since 2016, there has been considerable progress made to the standard of our facilities, including the development of two training pitches with associated works, increased car parking, improved vehicular access, the opening of a fully-lit tarmac path that is open to the whole community, and the erection of a gym.
The club has already invested over £250,000 of money generated from its own fundraising initiatives in the last six years. We are extremely grateful to those who contributed to the previous Club Tempo scheme to fund the lower field development and to those who travelled the roads selling tickets in our monster draw. We have also secured over £310,000 in capital funding from a range of funders during this time, but we still have much more to do to deliver the facilities required for a modern club. Our facilities are also used heavily by the entire local community.
It is intended that the money will be collected every month by direct debit, with the club taking a 10 year loan to be repaid with the funds being donated, allowing this work to begin quickly. There is also an option to pay on an annual basis if that suits you better.
The new fundraising scheme aims to attract an additional investment of £375,000 over the next ten year period and we are looking for at least 125 people to join this scheme to allow these projects to proceed so we really need your help.
Anyone wishing to join the scheme is asked to contact me or to download and return a completed signup forms to me or any Executive Committee members.
A signup form is available below.
Hard copies are also available – if you would rather one of those, please let me know and I will get this sorted.
We are discussing how best to recognise the contribution of people with a prominent wall panel listing members of the scheme but this will be confirmed in the very near future.
Thank you for your continuing support for Tempo Maguires GAC and I look forward to hearing from you.
